Crystal Pavilion Expansion by Wynn Resorts Macau Will Spare No Expense

Home » Crystal Pavilion Expansion by Wynn Resorts Macau Will Spare No Expense

Wynn Resorts is planning on expanding its Macau operation by adding a Crystal Pavilion to its already existing Wynn Palace. The new structure will reportedly cost more than $2 billion. The aim of the new addition is to turn the casino into a must-see destination in the area. The casino group really seems to be sparing no expense on the design. It is set to feature a high-end museum and theater, among many other wonderful features.

The company is set to start constructing the new addition some time in 2021. The expected opening date is set for the year 2024. The group is hoping to see a return on investment that exceeds 20% on this upcoming venture. The addition is expected to make the Wynn Palace, which already has three five-star restaurants and many amazing accommodation options, an even more desirable tourist spot.

Crystal Pavilion Planned Features

As previously mentioned, Wynn Resorts is hoping that the $2 billion structure will impress all those who go there, which is why they will be adding a load of wonderful features to it. Some such features include a glass and steel structural design that will take the shape of a water lily. The new structure will not add more to the casino’s gaming space. It will rather focus on presenting non-gaming attractions, such as the above-referenced theater and museum.

It seems that Wynn Resorts is trying to show Chinese officials that they can add a whole lot more to their economy than just gambling revenue. With the company’s gambling license up for renewal in 2022, this will be a sure way to do so.

The decision has also been seen as a way to reduce the casino’s reliance on high-rollers, who allegedly make up the bulk of the group’s revenues in the country. Only time will tell whether this new attraction will help address this issue.
